Arrived in Uganda

We arrived safely in Uganda last week with all of our animals and luggage. With 22 bags and 2 dogs, we got a lot of very strange looks in the airports. Thank you so much to the Perio family and the Kimbrough family for helping us get all of our things to Houston and the airport. World In Need also helped us so much in getting our container loaded and shipped off to us. We hope to receive it in the next 2 months.
We arrived to our temporary home here in Kampala and started immediately working on getting the proper paperwork completed with the government here as well and looking for a house/office and a school for Jesse.
We found a beautiful home that has space for an office that over looks Lake Victoria and plenty of room for all of you who want to come and visit us. The home is new, so we are waiting to move in as they are still painting and finishing up small details. We hope to move in in the next 3 weeks.

Yep, I've read your entire blog now! Congrats on the move! I would love to move to Africa, most likely Liberia. We just arrived back from picking up our son 3 weeks ago. We are probably setting up an NGO there soon. We LOVE Africa and there are a couple of countries, specifically that God has laid on our hearts. Uganda is one of them. I have a friend who just arrived home with her little ones from Amani Baby Cottage in Uganda and another friend who leaves next week to teach in a Rafiki School there. Thank you for your hard work and sacrifice for the people of Africa to see Jesus.

What Organization are you with?
